"...There came a mighty wind and a tumult of the earth, and the sky reeled, and the hills slid, and Numenor went down into the sea, with all its children and its wives and its maidens and its ladies proud; and all its gardens and its halls and its towers, its tombs and its riches, and its jewels and its webs and its things painted and carven, and its laughter and its mirth and its music, its wisdom and its lore: they vanished for ever. And last of all the mounting wave, green and cold and plumed with foam, climbing over the land, took to its bosom Tar-Miriel the Queen, fairer than silver or ivory or pearls. Too late she strove to ascend the steep ways of the Meneltarma to the holy place; for the waters overtook her, and her cry was lost in the roaring of the wind."

Inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion

Devouring Wave is a blue jelly filled with a riot of metallic, iridescent and holographic hexes and shreds; colors include black, silver, red, blue and purple. May be worn alone (two coats recommended) or over a base color. Each bottle contains one or two stainless steel BBs for mixing.
Directions
Always start with a base coat to extend the life of your manicure and reduce the risk of staining. Apply the recommended number of thin coats, waiting for a few minutes in between. Paint over the tips of your nails to form a seal. Finish with a quick-dry topcoat such as Out the Door or Seche Vite. For bumpy glitter polishes, you may need more than one coat of topcoat for a smooth finish.

To keep your nails and cuticles healthy, we recommend a cuticle balm such as Indigo Bananas!

Three-/four-/five-free polishes may settle over time (a layer of clear liquid will form at the top of the bottle). A good shake should redistribute the pigments completely.

I've only tried this once and took it off because I didn't like it at all - I may try to figure out a good color to pair it with as a topper and see if it's better, and it may just be me. I couldn't duplicate the pictures of it, that's for sure!

Great Colors October 15, 2014

This polish was beautiful but popped off in giant sheets when it started chipping. A few of my nails came off completely after 3 days of wear. No base coat, topped with the NYC top coat and Seche Vite. The polish had a rough texture from the glitters. Beautiful though, worth the effort.

Edit: I've figured out in the interim that Hard as Nails was making all of my manicures pop off in sheets. I switched to a different base coat and the polish wears much better. Still gorgeous. This is easily one of my favorite polishes.

Wonderful jelly with great staying power October 9, 2014

I LOVE this fantastic undersea-looking jelly. I had full coverage with just 1 coat, but kept applying because it was so pretty. The more coats you apply, the darker the colors. I used Zoya's colorlock system and this shade stayed on my nails, no chipping, for just over a week. A new record! There are just so many fun things going on with this polish.
